Obituary for William Sherman "Sherman" Hull

William Sherman Hull, 79, of Accident, MD, died Saturday, March 11, 2023, at his residence.

Born June 16, 1943, in Waynesburg, PA, he was the son of the late John H. and Marie (Roberts) Hull. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Karen Hull.

Mr. Hull was head mechanic for Texas Eastern Enbridge, retiring after 47 years of service from 1967-2014. After retirement, he then was the Mid-Stream Project Manager at Beitzel Corp from 2014 to the present. He was a member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church, then Accident Baptist Church and Waynesburg Lodge, #153 F. & A.M.

He is survived by his wife, Irma G. (Gillispie) Hull; three sons, Brad (Teresa) Hull, Kings Woods, VA; Brent (Ramona) Hull, El Paso, TX; Jason (Stefanie) Hull, Accident; one brother, John (Deb) Hull, Waynesburg, PA; one sister, Connie (Tim) Hull, Fawn Grove, PA; nine grandchildren, Abby, Brittany, Elizabeth, Stephanie, Dominique, Domonic, Mason, Zayden and Frankie; seven great-grandchildren, Nikolai, Sophia, Cohen, Oaklen, Rileigh, Vayda and Riley.

Friends will be received in the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, MD, on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the Accident Baptist Church on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Dana Umbel officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services. A private interment will take place in the Rosemont Cemetery, Rogersville, PA.

A Celebration of Sherman’s life will be held at a later date in June at his home.
