Obituary for Wanda Elaine Sheffield (Beachy)
Wanda Elaine Sheffield, 94, of Grantsville, MD, died Sunday, February 27, 2022, at her residence.
Born October 10, 1927, in Garrett County, MD, she was the daughter of the late Forrest F. and Grace Alberta (Kamp) Beachy. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Sheffield; one son, David; three sisters, Bernice Merrill, Helen Bernhart and Dorothy Beachy; two brothers, Ken Beachy and Robert Beachy.
Mrs. Sheffield was a seamstress or the former Flushing Shirt Factory and a member of the Grace Community Church.
She is survived by two sons, Joel (R. Joanne) Sheffield, Oakland, MD; Jeff Sheffield, Finzel, MD; one daughter, Linda Handwerk, Grantsville; four grandchildren, Scott Durst, Angie Davis, Emma and Jeffrey Sheffield; two great-grandchildren, Audrey Davis and Justin Durst.
At her request she will be cremated and a graveside service will be held at a later date.
Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, is in charge of cremation arrangements.
