Obituary for Thelma Virginia Beitzel (Stemple)
Thelma Virginia Beitzel, 91, of Friendsville, MD, died Saturday, October 9, 2021, at her residence.
Born November 30, 1929, in Aurora, WV, she was the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Mary Mamie (Peyton) Stemple. Mrs. Beitzel was preceded in death by two husbands, Harley R. Shipp and Delmar C. Beitzel and her sister, Julia LeMasters and three brothers, John, Harry and Junior Stemple.
Mrs. Beitzel was a waitress and a member of the Church of Christ.
Surviving is her step-daughter, Darla (Ken) Long, Accident, MD; four step-grandchildren, Nathan, Dustin, Jensen and Kalen Long; 10 step-great grandchildren, one on the way and one in heaven and Charlie and Junior Rodeheaver, who considered her “Mom”.
A private burial will be held at Garrett County Memorial Gardens, Oakland, MD.
Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller Street, Grantsville, MD, is assisting the family with burial arrangements.
