Obituary for Stephen Ray "Steve" Miller II
Stephen Ray “Steve” Miller II, 43, of Accident, MD, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022, at Garrett Regional Medical Center, Oakland, MD.
Born August 29, 1979, in Oakland, he was the son of Stephen Miller, Terra Alta, WV and Barbara Clary and husband Mike, Oakland.
Steve was employed by Advanced Heating & Cooling, Oakland, working as a HVAC Lead Installer. He was a hardworking and dedicated man. He took extreme pride in his work. Steve loved his work family, every day he looked forward to going to his job. In his spare-time he was an avid outdoorsman. When Steve wasn’t working, he could be found in a treestand, fishing along a riverbank or cheering on his favorite football team, the Philadelphia Eagles. He loved all things archery and lived for bow hunting every September. Most importantly Steve was a loving husband, father, son and sibling to his entire family. Life is all about moments and Steve definitely enjoyed making the most of each one. He was a true warrior and remained so strong and brave, all the way to the end.
In addition to his parents his is survived by his wife, Heather; two daughters, Lauren, at home and Aliyah, Reston, VA; his in-laws, Espy and Cathy Hook, Friendsville, MD; grandparents, Wilma Armstrong and Howard Dillsworth, both of Oakland; brothers, Thomas Miller and Anthony Clary, both of Oakland; many aunts, uncles, step-brothers, a brother-in-law, nieces and nephews. He will be missed by them all.
Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 943 Second Ave., Friendsville, MD 21531, on Tuesday from 2:00-4:00p.m. and 6:00-8:00p.m.. Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at 1:00p.m. with Rev. Paula Thomas officiating. Interment will be in Sand Spring Cemetery.
