Obituary for Shawn Lynn Wilhelm (Hamilton)
Shawn Lynn Wilhelm, 61, of Thomasville, GA, died Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Garrett Regional Medical Center, Oakland, MD.
Born February 24, 1960, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late James G. Hamilton and Gertrude “Trudy” (Overby) Tester. She was also preceded in death by her step-father, Robert L. Tester.
Mrs. Wilhelm was a waitress, bartender and caterer. She was originally from Pasadena, MD, lived in Garrett Co., then in Georgia for 11 years.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Wilhelm, Baltimore; one step-daughter, Bobbi Jo (Bobby) Mercer, Odenton, MD; two brothers, Perry Hamilton, Sr., Frostburg, MD; Bobby (Debbie) Tester, Glen Burnie, MD; two sisters, her twin, Sharon (Larry Wilt) Conlee, Grantsville; Cheryl Tester, Glen Burnie; one nephew, Perry Hamilton, Jr.; three nieces, Charon (Tim) Clark, Danielle (Wilbur) Sines; Michelle (Steve) Rathell; four great-nieces and nephews; and special “adopted” nieces and nephews.
At her request, she will be cremated and no services are planned.
Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, MD, is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.
