Obituary for Sharon Lou Murphy
Sharon Lou Murphy, 60, of Friendsville, MD, died Sunday, March 19, 2023, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV.
Born October 26, 1962, in Oakland, she was the daughter of the late Robert Selby and Mary Carol (Lambert) Murphy. She was preceded in death by one sister, Karen Sue Murphy and three grandchildren, Hailey Ford, Kelton Ford and Emma Ford.
Sharon was a homemaker and was a member of the Friendsville Lions Club and the Friendsville Crime Watch.
She is survived by one son, Robert Christopher Murphy and Emily Rinker, Grantsville; one daughter, Kristina Ford, McHenry, former daughter-in-law, Brittany Wiland, Grantsville, one sister, Tracy Trobaugh, Tennessee; one step sister, Jeannine Schaub and husband, Larry, Florida; and seven grandchildren, Kandace Ford and Con Nguyen, James Gregory Ford, Jr., Grace Wiland, Rylee Beachy, Drew Kisner and Storm Kisner; her best friends, Kim Glisan, Kathy Hook, Kathy VanSickle, Lori Otto and Vickie Bowser; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 943 Second Avenue, Friendsville on Friday, March 24, 2023, from 5-7 pm and Saturday, March 25, 2023, from 9-11 am. Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Saturday at 11 am with Rev. Philip Smith officiating. Interment will be in Blooming Rose Cemetery.
