Obituary for Ruth Kathleen Stanton (Crowe)
Ruth Kathleen (Crowe) Stanton, 92, of Grantsville, MD, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 1, 2021, at her residence.
Born October 7, 1928, in Finzel, MD, she was the daughter of the late Roy Edward and Clara Lucretia (Wolfe) Crowe. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dalton O. Stanton, July 30, 2010; 11 brothers, Raymond, Fred, Willard, Woodrow, Frank, Harold, Karl, Hubert, Archie, Junior and Delford Crowe; one sister, Hilda Ellifritz Sturtz. Mrs. Stanton was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Mrs. Stanton was a homemaker and an avid bowler. She was a member of the Marsh Hill Homemakers Club and the Jennings United Methodist Church.
She is survived by three sons, Kenneth (Mary), Terry (Kay) and Edward (Barbara); nine grandchildren, Kathy, Trina, Laurie, Janine, Timothy, Renee, Brittney, Emily and Mitchell; 11 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, from 12-4 p.m. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Randy Crowe officiating. Interment will be in the Grantsville Cemetery.
