Obituary for Ruth Alice Goldbloom (Boyle)
Ruth Alice (Boyle) Goldbloom, 68, of Grantsville, MD, died Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Monongalia Health, Morgantown, WV.
Born August 2, 1953, in Frostburg, MD, she was the daughter of the late Edward E. & Emily R. (Miller) Boyle. She was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara A. Boyle and two brothers, John D. Boyle and Robert William “Willie” Boyle.
Ruth graduated from Beall High School and Frostburg State University, receiving two Master's Degrees, one in Education and one in Counseling. She had been employed as a special education teacher by the Garrett County Board of Education and then later by the Garrett County Health Department as a counselor. Ruth also was in private practice as a councelor.
A former deacon at St. John's Episcopal Church, Frostburg, Ruth had a specialty in liturgical worship and music and was also a member of St. John's choir.
Surviving are her husband, Donald S. Goldbloom; one brother, Joseph E. Boyle, Hagerstown, MD; two sisters, Bernadette L. (Boyle) Simmons, Virginia Beach, VA and Rosemary F. (Boyle) Tseng, Chula Vista, CA.
A celebration of life will be held at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Cumberland, MD, on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at 11:00 a.m.
