Obituary for Russell William Rodeheaver

Russell William Rodeheaver, 77, of Terra Alta, WV, passed away on December 17, 2022, in Terra Alta, WV.

Born December 2, 1945, in Hutton, MD, he was the son of the late Russell Ami Rodeheaver and Sylvia Almeda Margaret (Lewis) Rodeheaver. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Wakefield and Peggy Jane McMillion and one brother, Ralph Eugene Rodeheaver.

Russell was a Vietnam War veteran for the US Army and received two Purple Hearts medals. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 71 and V.F.W. Post 10077. He worked for CSX Railroad Transportation company for 30 years and loved to collect railroad memorabilia, especially anything related with the B&O Railroad.

He is survived by, two sons, Larry Streets & Angela, Corinth, WV and Randy Streets & girlfriend, Barbara Steyer, Mountain Lake Park, MD; three daughters, Nancy Eichorn & Ike, Mountain Lake Park; Sheila Kay Rodeheaver, Slatyfork, WV; and Connie Friend & Scott, Oakland; five brothers, Gary Lee Rodeheaver & Sandy, Friendsville, MD; Homer Clay Rodeheaver & Deloris, Jim Rodeheaver & Barb, John Rodeheaver & Renata, all of Oakland; Pat Rodeheaver & Carol, Baltimore, MD; three sisters, Donna Torres, Baltimore; Farrell “Jenny” Smith, McHenry, MD; and Susan Bowser, Hutton; one nephew, Ralph Rodeheaver, Crellin, MD; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Russell will be cremated and a private celebration of life will be scheduled for a later date.

In lieu of flowers, Russell’s family request that you “donate” your time to your friends and family.
