Roger D. Mealey, 72, of Grantsville, MD, died Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at Garrett Regional Medical Center, Oakland, MD.

Born April 16, 1949, in Bridgeport, WV, he was the son of the late Robert Hill and Juanita Belle (Edmond) Mealey. He was also preceded in death by one son, Jason Mealey and one grandson, London Flickinger.

Mr. Mealey was a non-denominational Minister and a U.S. Marine Corps. veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Darleen “Dee” (Jenkins) Mealey; one son, Roger D. (Karen) Mealey, Jr., Lost Creek, WV; two daughters, Bobbi-Jo Mealey, Grantsville; Danielle (Shawn) Flickinger, York, PA; one brother, Dan Mealey, Rochester, NY; five grandchildren, Jason Brady, Nathann Sutton, Dillon Mealey, Miranda Mealey, and Lily Flickinger.

Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Saturday, October 23, 2021, from 1-2 p.m. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home at 2:00 p.m. with Danielle Flickinger officiating. Interment will be in the Grantsville Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be accorded by Grantsville Post 214, American Legion.
