Obituary for Robert Stephen Veith
Robert Stephen Veith, 63, of Clarksburg WV, passed away at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport WV, on Wednesday, December 28, 2022.
Robert, also known as "Bobby", was born in Streator, IL, November 29, 1959, and was the son of the late Robert Leo Veith and Julia Stache. He was also preceded in death by a brother in-law, William (Billy) Keplinger, Jr.
Bobby was formerly employed by Mountain State Auto Auction in Shinnston, WV, as a driver and auto detailer. Bobby was an outgoing, friendly, kind man. He never met a stranger, and considered everyone an instant friend. He loved fishing, kayaking, and playing the guitar and loved to talk. He loved animals, especially his companions, Lady, Mia, and the late Rio.
Bobby married his wife, Jody Rae (Keplinger) Veith at the Church of God of Prophecy in Deer Park, MD, on April 1, 2000, and then remarried her at Calvary Baptist Church in Mannington, WV, on August 03, 2013. He loved Jody so much, he married her twice.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Jody; his father-in-law and mother in-law, William Sr. and Judy Keplinger; two sisters-in-law, Jennifer (Beckie) Todd and Judy Reel; four nieces: Kassaundra (Kassie) Todd, Cheyenne Jefferson, Chloe Keplinger, and Bryanna Reel; and one great nephew, Williams Kingsley Todd.
Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 1100 Memorial Drive, Oakland, MD, 21550, on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, from 1:00pm-2:00pm. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2:00pm, with Pastor Dennis Leatherman officiating. Interment will be at Kalbaugh Cemetery in Elk Garden, WV.
