Obituary for Robert Moore
Robert Moore, 89, of Deer Park, MD, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home.
Born January 11, 1934, in Fluvanna County, VA, he was the son of the late George Gilmore Moore and Minnie Edith (Harris) Moore. He was also preceded in death by two daughters, Carolyn Robin Simms and Jill Annette Hammond, and three brothers, Charles, John, and George David “Tony” Moore.
Robert was a self-employed antique dealer and also served for the US Military in the Army.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, whom he married on June 16, 1972, Dixie D. (Shaffer) Moore; two sons, Robert and Charles Moore; three grandchildren, Jessica Morris, Jamie Yommer, and Thomas Simms; and five great-grandchildren, Allison Morris, Amariah Morris, Silvia Johnson, Alex Yommer, and Nathaniel Simms.
A chapel service will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at 11:00am, at Garrett County Memorial Gardens with Pastor Barbara Rexrode officiating.
