Obituary for Robert Paul Lichty
On Wednesday, September 7, 2022, Robert Paul Lichty, a beloved pap, father, brother and son passed away at 52 years old.
Born June 13, 1970, in Meyersdale, PA, he was the son of Robert Dale and Doris (Tice) Lichty, Grantsville, MD. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Robert Dale, Sr. and Ruth Beatrice (Miller) Lichty; maternal grandparents, Raymond J. and Ruth Amelia (Yoder) Tice; one uncle, Joseph Arlin Tice.
Along with his parents he is also survived by one sister, Tresa (Lichty) Litteral and husband, Mark; two daughters, Rebekah (Lichty) Bowman and husband, Tyler; Sarah Martel; the best grandson ever, Andrew “Bubba” Bowman, who was the highlight of his life; and one nephew, Zachary Litteral. Corey and Alex Durst spent many years under the direction and influence of Paul and he loved them as though they were his sons.
Mr. Lichty was a 1988 graduate of Northern Garrett High School, where he went on to have several different professions, but ultimately settled into building trades. He worked almost 20 years as a foreman for Daystar Builders, Inc. and was a great craftsman at his job.
A memorial services will be conducted in the Maple Glen Mennonite Church on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. with a meal following. All family and friends are welcome to attend.
