Robert Clayton “Bobby” House, 77, of Grantsville, MD, died Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV, after a losing battle with liver failure and kidney cancer.
Born January 28, 1946, in Meyersdale, PA, he was the son of the late Harold and Eleanor Arlene (Butler) House.
Bobby was a mechanic for Guy’s Tire Shop and Hilltop Fruit Market.
He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather, who was lovingly known as “Pap” to his family. Bobby will be remembered for his love of whistling and his comical personality; he loved to make people laugh.
He is survived by his wife, Barb A. Gilpin-House; two daughters, Tammy Hebb and Stacie Paugh; one son, Rodney House; two brothers, Larry House and Gordon House; two sisters, Judy Shaffer and Carolyn Carnes.
At his request, he will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers.
He was a true fighter and will be truly missed.
