Obituary for Robert Guy Harvey
Robert Guy Harvey, 82, of Kitzmiller, MD, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023, at Goodwill Mennonite Home.
Born May 13, 1940, in Kitzmiller, he was the son of the late Mildred Louise (Conley) and Everett Alfred Harvey. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Dorothy Edith (Sharpless) Harvey.
Robert worked as a coal miner for G&S Coal and was a hardworking man who was devoted to God and his family.
He is survived by two sons, Michael R. Harvey and wife, Faye and Donald “Bumper” Stiles, all of Kitzmiller; one brother, Alfred Harvey and wife, Edith, Kitzmiller; three sisters, Rebecca Evans and Donna Evans, both of Kitzmiller, and Martha Pysell and husband, Ross, Barton, MD; four grandchildren, Sara Rowe and husband, Michael, Samuel Harvey, Sierra Stiles, and Olivia Stiles; and two great-grandsons, Kaleb Stiles and Wyatt Rowe.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 1:00pm at Mt. Zion Cemetery, 2445 Mt Zion Road, Swanton, MD 21561 with Rev. Dr. Matthew Paugh officiating.
