Rhoda Darlene Miller, 86, of Accident, MD and formerly of Grantsville, MD, died Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home, Oakland, MD.

Born October 19, 1935, in Grantsville, she was the daughter of the late Roy N. and Viola May (Wiley) Miller. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Leona Bender and Virginia Brenneman.

Ms. Miller was a grocery department manager for over 48 years with Yoder’s Locker and Country Market. She was a member of the Springs Mennonite Church, Daughters of Dorcas, where she had been treasurer since 1985 and taught Sunday school for many years.

She is survived by 16 nieces and nephews and a large number of great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Sunday, October 16, 2022, from 4-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the Springs Mennonite Church on Monday, October 17, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Derrick Bender officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Springs Cemetery.
