Obituary for Rhea Ailene Broadwater (Durst)
Rhea Ailene Broadwater, 76, of Grantsville, MD, died Friday, March 3, 2023, at UPMC Western Maryland, Cumberland, MD.
Born October 6, 1946, in Meyersdale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Carrie (Hutzel) Durst.
Ms. Broadwater was a window blind assembler for Hunter Douglas. She had also worked for The Flowerloft, Grantsville and had Home Interior parties. She was a member of the Oak Dale Church and was very active on the hospitality committee. Rhea enjoyed gardening and planting flowers.
She is survived by three sons, Bryce Broadwater, Finzel, MD; Richard Broadwater and Daniel (girlfriend, Deanne) Broadwater, all of Grantsville; three brothers, Ron Durst, Harmony, PA; Paul Durst, Accident, MD; Greg Durst, Grantsville.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the Oak Dale Church on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Joe Byler officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Grantsville Cemetery.
