Raymond Richard “Ray” Myers, 76, of Friendsville, MD, died Thursday, May 4, 2023, at his residence.

Born June 14, 1946, in Cincinnati, OH, he was the son of the late Fred and Hilda (Niehaus) Myers. He was also preceded in death by his son, Jeff.

Mr. Myers was a rural mail carrier, a machinist and piping designer. He attended Crossroads Church, was active in the car club in Cincinnati and loved to sail. Ray designed and built the chapel at Garrett Regional Medical Center. He was a gun enthusiast, collecting, participating in sporting clays and trap shooting.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy (Cook) Myers; daughter-in-law, Peggy Kuhlman and husband, Chris; two grandchildren, Anna and John; one brother, Bob Myers, Cincinnati; two sisters, Phyllis Myers and Carolyn Dierkers, both of Cincinnati.

Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 26722 Garrett Hwy., McHenry (Accident), MD, on Monday, May 22, 2023, from 4-6 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor David Marsh officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
