Obituary for Rayetta Fern Brant (Brown)
Rayetta Fern Brant, 86, of Salisbury, PA, died Monday, April 24, 2023, at Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville, MD.
Born July 21, 1938, in Meyersdale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Hubert and Nira (Merrill) Brown. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James E. Brant, Sr. and one son, James E. Brant, Jr.
Mrs. Brant was a Home Care Provider and a member of the Springs Mennonite Church.
She is survived by two sons, Wade (Pam) Brant and Gary (Lisa) Brant, all of Salisbury; one brother, John Brown, Salisbury; two sisters, Margaret Schrock, State College, PA; Marcia Thomas, Meyersdale; five grandchildren, James, Jonathan, Jennifer, Alex and Heather; 11 great-grandchildren, James, Jr., Calista, Miles, Jacqueline, Selene, Preston, Seneca, Scarlett, Galen, Murphy and Madden.
A funeral service will be held in the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor John Verburg officiating. Interment will be in the Salisbury Cemetery.
