Obituary for Paul Douglas "Doug" Sisler
Paul Douglas Sisler, 76, of Bruceton Mills, WV, died Monday, October 31, 2022, at Henry Clay Villa, Markleysburg, PA.
Born November 1, 1945, in Bruceton Mills, he was the son of the late Paul and Ruth Ellen (Friend) Sisler. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Darlene Joyce (Thomas) Sisler, March 3, 1993 and one son, Douglas Paul Sisler, November 11, 2002.
Mr. Sisler was a self-employed contractor, truck driver and entrepreneur in billboard advertising. Doug enjoyed farming and restoring his family farm.
He is survived by his companion, Joan Reeves; one son, Christopher Todd (Bridget) Sisler, New Holland, PA; one daughter, Patricia Ann (Joel) Morris, New Smyrna Beach, FL; one brother, Terry Sisler, Garrettsville, OH; nine grandchildren, Sara, Alyssa, Matthew, Cameron, Nathan, Samantha, Maranda, David and Zachary; 10 great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Amelia, Natalie, Christian, Mayson, Ava Marie, Bryson, Arya, Christopher and Carter.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 943 Second Ave., Friendsville, MD, on Friday, November 11, 2022, from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the Sand Spring Church of God on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Dana Umbel officiating. Interment will be in the Blooming Rose Cemetery.
