Obituary for Paul Wilson Broadwater
Paul Wilson Broadwater, 85, of Ohiopyle, PA, died Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home, Oakland, MD.
Born October 22, 1937, in Swanton, MD, he was the son of the late Robert Monroe and Eliza Savilla (Wilt) Broadwater. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Clara (Love) Broadwater; one son, Terry Broadwater; one granddaughter, Anna Mae Broadwater; four brothers, Porter, Clarence, Rawleigh and Ray Broadwater; two sisters, Ora Brain and Freda Broadwater.
Mr. Broadwater was a logger and a member of Woodmen Camp #45, Friendsville, MD.
He is survived by one son, Gerald (Karen) Broadwater, Swanton; three grandchildren, Tonya (Thomas) Uphold, Robert Broadwater and Alexis (Mason) Andrews; two great-grandchildren, Donte Broadwater and Alliyah Friend; two great-great grandchildren, Christian Crosco and Jesah Mason; and special cousin and caretaker, Mary Jane Smith.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, MD, on Sunday, March 5, 2023, from 2-6 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Monday, March 6, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Keith Yoder officiating. Interment will be in the Broadwater Cemetery.
