Obituary for Marion A. O'Brien (O'Brien)
Marion A. O'Brien, 79, of LaVale, MD, died Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville, MD.
Born October 15, 1942, in Meyersdale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry & Gladys (Knox) O'Brien. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Donald O'Brien and one sister, Norma Green.
Marion was a retired secretary, having been employed at Frostburg State University, Allegany Ballistics Laboratory and then Maryland Cooperative Extension Service. She attended Calvary Bible Church, Ellerslie.
Surviving are her husband, Ernest E. O'Brien; one daughter, Erin Grogan and husband, Tim, Orlando, FL and her twin sister, Mary White and husband, Harold “Bud”, Oakland.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Friday from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at 11:00 am with Pastor Ken Korns officiating. Interment will be in Glade Cemetery, Accident, MD.
