Obituary for Louise Tressler (Ringler)
Louise (Ringler) Tressler, 96, of Salisbury, PA, died Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville, MD.
Born July 14, 1926, in St. Paul, PA, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Lucinda (Lowry) Ringler. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lloyd Tressler; seven brothers, Clyde “Jake”, Robert “Conn”, Lawrence “Ted”, Walter “Ben”, Earl “Cotton”, Karl “Check” and Harry “Babe” Ringler; two sisters, Ethel “Sis” Harding and Ann Marie Anderson; one grandson, Michael Tressler.
Mrs. Tressler was a hairdresser and a member of the St. John’s United Church of Christ. She was a charter member of the Salisbury V.F.W. Auxiliary and a member of the Meyersdale Chapter #548, Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by one son, Michael K. (Kathy) Tressler, Port Charlotte, FL; two daughters, Melanie L. (Jerry) Hoover, Fort Hill, PA; Melissa D. (John) George, Salisbury; six grandsons, Shawn, Jeremy and Jesse Hoover, Resley, Seth and Lance Tressler; 13 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff of Goodwill Mennonite Home and Evelyn Brant for the care of Louise.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Inc., 9168 Mason-Dixon Hwy., Salisbury, on Friday, May 12, 2023, from 1-2 p.m. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Salisbury Cemetery.
