Obituary for Leon Garland Sisler
Leon Garland Sisler, 78, of Friendsville, MD, died Monday, December 26, 2022, at Sterling Care Frostburg Village, Frostburg, MD.
Born March 20, 1944, in Friendsville, he was the son of the late Jasper and Violet (Uphold) Sisler. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Norma Eloise (Savage) Sisler, November 6, 2022; seven brothers, Otis, Doy, Garrett, Dawson, Glavis, Hillis and Hobert Sisler; two sisters, Glenna Bracey and Velva Blamble.
Mr. Sisler was a truck driver and a member of Laurel Run Church of God.
He is survived by three sons, John (Kim) Cosner, Morgantown, WV; Richard (Betty) Cosner, Friendsville; Clinton (Mandy) Sisler, Covington, LA; four daughters, Trina (Ernie) Friend, Maryville, TN; Judy (Rusty) Godwin, Electra, TX; Marcia (Todd) Adams, Louisville, TN; Erica (Jacob) Garlitz, Avilton, MD; 20 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 943 Second Ave., Friendsville, on Monday, January 2, 2023, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Craig Bolyard officiating. Interment will be in the Blooming Rose Cemetery.
