Obituary for Kathryn Darlene Burkholder
Kathryn Darlene Burkholder, 88, of Meyersdale, PA, died Sunday, April 30, 2023, at Meyersdale Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Meyersdale.
Born January 23, 1935, in Springs, PA, she was the daughter of the late Walter Harrison and Mildred Leota (King) Teets. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Carl Teets and one sister, Sarah Shirley Teets.
Ms. Burkholder was a clerk for many years at G.C. Murphy Store and a member of the Springs Mennonite Church. She was an animal lover who enjoyed feeding the birds and rabbits and always having a pet dog. Kathryn was devoted to her family and friends, and was always ready to help when needed.
She is survived by one daughter, Denise (Jeffrey Fleming) Horning; daughter of the heart, Linda Berkley; special friend, Carol Stone; longtime companion, Jim Kimble; two nephews, Charles Teets and Steven Teets, all of Meyersdale; eight great-nieces and nephews; four great-great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Newman Funeral Home, Inc., 9168 Mason-Dixon Hwy., Salisbury, PA, on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor John Verburg officiating.
