Obituary for Joanna Elaine Yoder (Landis)
Joanna Elaine Yoder, 87, of Springs, PA, died Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville, MD.
Born August 9, 1934, in Lancaster, PA, she was the daughter of the late Abram P. and Eva D. (Grimm) Landis. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Gehman, Evelyn Shenk and Sylvia Hull.
Joanna worked at Rockingham Memorial Hospital, Harrisonburg, VA, Ephrata National Bank, Ephrata, PA, Mast Furniture and Appliance, Grantsville, secretary at Yoder School, Grantsville and office manager at Penn Alps, Grantsville. She was a member of the Glade Mennonite Church, Accident, MD, where Joanna was always active in her church family
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Earl A. Yoder; two sons, Richard L. (Cindy) Yoder, Hyndman, PA; Karl E. (Lisa) Yoder, Fort Smith, AR; five grandchildren, Derek Yoder, Betheny Conaway, Brett Yoder, Rebecca Darr and Tyler Leap; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Glade Mennonite Church, 5011 Accident Bittinger Rd., Accident, MD 21520, on Sunday, July 3, 2022, from 2-4 p.m. A Celebration of Life will follow at 4:30 p.m. in the church with Pastor Jonathan Martin officiating.
