Obituary for Jeffrey Lynn Gellner
Jeffrey Lynn Gellner, 68, of Oakland, MD, died on December 28, 2022 at StoneRise Nursing Home, Kingwood, WV.
Born September 10, 1954, in LaVale, MD, he was the son of the late Charles Phill Gellner and Hilda (Holt) Gellner. He was also preceded in death by his son in law, Rickie Smith and step-granddaughter, Tiff Smith.
Jeffrey worked as an inspector for the Maryland State Highway Administration.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Sue (Tichinel) Gellner; two sons, Doug Collins & Kim and Scott Collins; one daughter, Lisa Smith & significant other, Mark Scafella; one brother, Michael Gellner & Sandy; two aunts, Victoria Boone & Mark and Naomi Holt; two brothers-in-law with which he shared a special bond, George Tichinel & Leo Tichinel; seven grandchildren, Abby & Joe, Brody, Julieanna, Trinity, Gage, Greg, and Nickolas; two great-grandchildren and a third due to arrive in March.
Friends will be received at Walnut Bottom Assembly of God, 1014 Walnut Bottom Road, Swanton, MD 21561, on Monday, January 2, 2023, from 11:00am-1:00pm. A service will follow in the church at 1:00pm with Rev. Roger Tichinel officiating. Interment will be at Walnut Bottom Cemetery.
