Obituary for Jay Butler
Jay Butler, 63, of Grantsville, MD, died Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV.
Born May 26, 1958, in Meyersdale, PA, he was the son of Catherine (Broadwater) Butler and the late Walter “Dave” Butler.
Mr. Butler was a forklift operator for Closetmaid and also worked for Harbison-Walker Refractories for 38 years.
Jay loved life with his family, especially his grandchildren. He happily passed on his love for hunting and fishing to his littles.
Along with his mother, he is also survived by his wife, Lori Monick (Garlitz) Butler; one son, Roman (Jessica) Yoder, III; one daughter, Tiffany (Tyler Minnick) Yoder; one brother, David (Kristina) Butler; four sisters, Rita (Steve) Bender, Karen McClintock, Connie (Scott) Cameron and Carla (Owen) Dolan; four grandchildren, Errice, Brooklynn and Aiden Weeks and Roman Yoder, IV.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Friday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Barry Beal officiating. Interment will be in the St. Ann Cemetery.
