Obituary for Janet Arlene Brenneman (Byler)

Janet Arlene Brenneman, 89, of Accident, MD, died Sunday, February 6, 2022, at Cherry Hill Assisted Living, Accident.

Born February 22, 1932, in Belleville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph D. and Cora M. (Glick) Byler. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Fay Brenneman.

Mrs. Brenneman was a manger for the Highland Thrift Shop and a cook at the Grantsville Sale Barn and University of Maryland 4-H Center. She was a member of the Glade Mennonite Church, Bittinger Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary, Bittinger Homemakers Club and a volunteer at World’s Attic.

She is survived by three sons, Randall (Marci) Brenneman, Accident; Michael (Brenda) Brenneman, Grantsville, MD; Steven (Shannon) Brenneman, Accident; one sister, Grace Yoder, Lewistown, PA; nine grandchildren, Megan (Steve) Peters, Dustin (Nicole) Brenneman, Amanda (Nolan) Marple, Ashley(JoJo Lambiott) Brenneman, Daniel Brenneman, Jacob Brenneman, Caleb Brenneman, Samuel Brenneman and Amelia Brenneman; three great-grandchildren, Avery, Corbin and Joelle.

Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Thursday, February 10, 2022, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the Glade Mennonite Church, Friday, February 11, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jonathan Martin officiating.
