Obituary for James Edward Holland
James Edward Holland, 79, of Oakland, MD passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at Oakland Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Born September 24, 1943, he was the son of the late Harley Andreas and Cassie Louise (Holland) Bowman.
James was the owner and operator of S&H Marina for over 20 years and was a member of the Elks Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling to his winter home in Crystal River, FL. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Ella Jean (Miller) Holland; one daughter, Carla J. Holland; one son James H. Holland; and two grandchildren, Jedidiah and Emily Holland.
Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 1100 Memorial Drive, Oakland, MD 21550 on June 22, 2023, from 10:00am-12:00pm. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 12:00pm with Pastor Samuel Moon officiating. Interment will be at Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
