Obituary for Hazel Lorraine Uphold
Hazel Lorraine Uphold, 93, of Markleysburg, PA, died Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Henry Clay Villa, Markleysburg.
Born July 25, 1929, in Uniontown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Mary Rhubena (Friend) Uphold. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Eugene Uphold; two sisters, Grace Uphold and June Landon.
Ms. Uphold was a manager at the Kingwood Motel, a baker at Cindy’s Cinnamon Shop and also worked at Charcoal Grill, Bethesda, MD.
She is survived by two sisters, Janet Sisler and Judy Frazee, both of Friendsville; several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 943 Second Ave., Friendsville, on Friday, May 5, 2023, from 1-2 p.m. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Cathy Harman officiating. Interment will be held in the Blooming Rose Cemetery.
