Obituary for Evelyn Virginia Lukas (Fazenbaker)
Evelyn Virginia Lukas, 67, of Grantsville, MD, passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at U.P.M.C. Western Maryland, Cumberland, MD.
Born January 11, 1954, in Oakland, MD, she was the daughter of the late Charles Webster and Mildred Virginia (Beeman) Fazenbaker. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles David Fazenbaker.
Evelyn had been employed as a bartender and also a heavy equipment operator. She loved shooting pool, traveling and going to Ziggy's 5 Lakes fishing. She loved her dogs, who she called her fur babies and treated them like they were her kids.
She is survived by her husband, of 27 years, Edward Eugene Lukas; two sons, Marvin Webster Bittinger, Grantsville, Tim Lee (Nicole Stein) Bittinger, Jeannette, PA; two daughters, Victoria Robin Sarver, Cumberland, MD, Daisy Mae (Jeffrey) Miller, Grantsville; two brothers, Clay (Denise) Fazenbaker and Webster Bradley Fazenbaker, all of Grantsville; three sisters, Mary Fazenbaker, Friendsville, MD, Susan (Matt) Durst, Accident, MD, Linda (Robert Wilburn) Fazenbaker, Grantsville; eight grandchildren, Cherokee, Mahala, Tonka, Joshua, Tasha, Alyssa, Tim, Jr. and Gavin and five great-grandchildren.
At Evelyn’s request she will be cremated. Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, MD 21536 on Monday, January 10, 2022, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., a Celebration of Life will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Phil Smith officiating.
