Esther Blanche Stewart, 87, of Oakland, MD, died Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. Born January 22, 1930, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Bernice Sanders and Agnes (Hearn) Blake. She was also preceded in death by one son, Charles Benjamin Kellner; one daughter, Charlotte Ann Sappe; one brother, Benjamin Blake; two sisters, Frances Hall and Louise Thompson. Esther worked as a telephone operator for the telephone company. She was a Deaconess and an active member of the women's ministry at Faith Evangelical Free Church. Esther loved to read and attend bible study. In addition to her husband, Herb Stewart, she is survived by one son, Kenny Kellner, Baltimore; two daughters, Mary Wood and Susan Mills, both of Baltimore; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren. At Esther's request, she will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at the Faith Evangelical Church, 1009 Maryland Hwy., Oakland, MD 21550, on Saturday, February 18, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Kroll officiating.
