Obituary for Doris Mae Weimer (Jeffries)
Doris Mae (Jeffries) Weimer, 80, of Bittinger, MD, passed away Friday, September 2, 2022, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV.
Born September 26, 1941, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late Clement and Margaret (McKenzie) Jeffries. She was also preceded in death by her step-father, Howard “Pete” Mellott; one very special sister, Wanda Robison and two brothers, Gene and Rick Jeffries.
Doris was a homemaker and member of Divine Mercy Parish, St. Ann Church, Grantsville. She loved gatherings with her family and friends, bird watching, especially cardinals, gardening, cooking and camping. She will be greatly missed by her loving family.
Doris leaves behind her loving husband and best friend of 63 very happy years, Francis H. Weimer; one son, Kenneth “Red” (Lorena) Weimer; five daughters, Susan (Gary) Yoder, Diana (Charlie) Wilt, Brenda (Marty) Durst, Karen Layman and fiance, Dale Guthrie, Sharon (Wesley) Yoder; 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; one brother, Russell and six sisters, Joan, Jennie, Judy, Linda, Susan and Margie.
Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Monday, September 5, 2022, from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Divine Mercy Parish, St. Ann Church on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at 11:00 am. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Avilton, MD.
