Obituary for Donna Marie Collins (Kifer)
Donna Marie (Kifer) Collins, 64, of Oakland, MD, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
She was born on November 25, 1957 in Keyser, WV. She was the daughter of the late Charles “Bud” Kifer and Grace Alberta (Oates) Kifer. She is preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Kifer and Charles Kifer.
Donna was a graduate of Southern Garrett High School. She worked at Bausch and Lomb as a dedicated employee then went to retire at Walmart after ten years of service. Donna served on the Deer Park Town Council for several years. She enjoyed her time with family and friends as well as drinking coffee.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Glenn D. Collins and three wonderful sons, Scott (Lori) Collins, John (Amy) Collins, Derek (Cassie) Collins, all of Oakland; five adored grandchildren, Danielle, Olivia, Johnna, Syrianna, and Weston; five cherished siblings, Roger Kifer, Oakland; Betty (Jim) Otto, Swanton, MD; Ruby Donham, Oakland; Patty (Jimmy) Tichinel, Cumberland. MD; Connie (Brian) Sliger, Oakland; and
multiple nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 1100 Memorial Drive, Oakland, MD 21550, on Friday, October 28, 2022, from 11:00am-2:00pm. Services will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2:00pm with Pastor George H. Tichinel officiating. Interment will be at Deer Park Cemetery in Deer Park, MD.
