Obituary for Donald Eugene Moore
Donald Eugene Moore, 73, of Oakland, MD, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021, at Oakland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Oakland.
Born October 29, 1947, in Tunnelton, WV, he was the son of the late Luther and Hazel Rachel (DeCost) Moore. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Loretta Kisner.
Donald worked at the Oakland Country Club in the maintenance department. He attended the Loch Lynn Church of God. Even though Donald had difficulty speaking, he was a master tinkerer and fixer.
He is survived by two brothers, Gary Moore, Morgantown, WV; Sam Moore, Barton, MD; four sisters, Barbara Fike and husband, Harold, Mt. Lake Park, MD; Trudy Fike, Corinth, WV; Linda Albert, SD; Cathy McCombie and husband Bill, Friendsville, MD; numerous nieces and nephews.
At Donald’s request, he will be cremated. No services are planned.
