Obituary for Cory Joe McKenzie
Cory Joe McKenzie, 35, of Grantsville, MD, died Saturday, December 10, 2022, at UPMC Western Maryland, Cumberland, MD.
Born July 18, 1987, in Cumberland, he was the son of Robert Lee Lewis, Jr., Moorefield, WV and Angela (McKenzie) McKenzie, Grantsville.
Cory was a construction painter & certified machinists. He also had a great talent for many forms of art work including but not limited to drawing, painting, carving, & wood burning. Along with a unique talent for creating many different things from nothing and/or fixing whatever needed fixed with anything he could find or alter to make it work. Cory was a true Jack of all trades and master of a few.
Along with his parents, he is also survived by his wife, Chantel Ashby; one son, Keetan McKenzie, at home and one sister, Karla McKenzie, Grantsville.
At his request he will be cremated and no services are planned at this time.
Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.
