Obituary for Charles Steven "Steve" Schweinsberg
Charles “Steve” Steven Schweinsberg, 71, of Grantsville, MD, died Sunday, May 21, 2023, at his residence.
Born August 9, 1951, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Charles and Madeline Schweinsberg. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Jamy Schweinsberg and one sister, Elaine O’Brien.
Mr. Schweinsberg was a self-employed carpenter and had also worked in commercial crabbing on the Eastern Shore. He was a graduate of St. Joseph High School and was active in AA. He left an everlasting impression on anyone he encountered. He will be missed by many.
He is survived by his wife, Lindalee Eva (Handlir) Schweinsberg; one son, Tanner Schweinsberg; one daughter, Lauren Schweinsberg Center; two step-sons, Robert Fousek, II and Chad Fousek; two step-daughters, Bernadette Harley and Danielle Carvin; nine grandchildren, August, Erin, Elijah, Nathan, Gabriel, Josie, Andrew, Asher and Keegan; three great-grandchildren, Piper, Harper and Henry.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, from 6-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the Divine Mercy Parish, St. Ann Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in the St. Ann Cemetery.
