Obituary for Carolyn Sue Bunnell (Shreve)
Carolyn Sue (Shreve) Bunnell, 88, of Deer Park, MD, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Oakland Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Born October 13, 1934 in Garrett County, MD, she was the daughter of the late George Amos Shreve and Zella Bell (King) Shreve. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bobby L. Bunnell; one son, James D. Bunnell; one brother, Edward Shreve, who was killed in action as medic in World War II; and four sisters, Ruby Harvey, Goldie Bowers, Helen Rolf, and Edna Clark.
Carolyn was a homemaker and was a very loving mother and friend. She loved God, family, friends, and the great outdoors.
She is survived by one son, Donald L. Bunnell, Bayard, WV; two daughters, Vicki D. Smith & Donald, Petersburg, WV and Kimberly D. Campbell, Deer Park; one sister, Betty Sirk, Mount Storm, WV; four grandchildren, Steven, Ayren, Amanda, and Christie; two great-grandchildren, Tony and Aden; and many nieces and nephews, including special nephew, Rick Sirk.
There will be a chapel service held at Garrett County Memorial Gardens, 881 Memorial Drive, Oakland, MD, on Friday, January 13, 2023, at 1:00pm with Pastor Becky Bennett officiating. Interment will be at Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
