Obituary for Carol Keller (Platter)
Carol Keller, 81, of Grantsville, MD, died Monday, June 28, 2021, at Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville.
Born January 24, 1940, in Frostburg, MD, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Velma (Groves) Platter. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Quentin Frickey and Charles Keller; four brothers, Harry, Byard, Edward Neil and Roger Platter; four sisters, Ethel Platter, Charlotte Johnson, Evelyn Wise and Phyllis Bittinger.
Mrs. Keller was a homemaker and also a seamstress for Flushing Shirt Factory for over 20 years. She was a member of the Spring Meadow Church of God, Fishertown, PA.
She is survived by three daughters, Amiee (Kerry) Miller, Meyersdale, PA; Kathy (Christopher) Garlitz, Grantsville; Wendy (companion, Glenn Hoover) Frickey, Confluence, PA; one sister, Peggy Leasher, Grantsville; four grandchildren, Amanda Miller, Nathan Miller, Emma Hoover and Ava Hoover.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday, July 2, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastors David and Ruth Davis officiating. Interment will be in the Bittinger Cemetery.
