Obituary for C. Janette Lipscomb (Coker)
C. Janette Lipscomb, 80, of Oakland, MD, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at Oakland Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Oakland.
Born December 3, 1941, in Blairsville, GA, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Glynn Coker. She was also preceded in death by one brother, one sister, and three children.
C. Janette worked as a house keeper and attended Calvary Tabernacle- Apostolics of Oakland Campus. She loved her dogs, making fudge, and making people laugh.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin Lipscomb; three sons, James, Keith, and Dale House; two daughters, Vickie Bowser and Anita McKenzie; one sister, Joan Griffin; seventeen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
At her family’s request, C. Janette will be cremated. A celebration of her life will be held at Calvary Tabernacle Ministries, 27893 Garrett Hwy, Accident, MD 21520, on Monday, November 14, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Pascal Crites officiating. A reception to share food and fellowship will be held at the church following her services.
