Obituary for Betty Jane Beachy (Wilt)
Betty Jane (Wilt) Beachy, 88, of Grantsville, MD, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022, at UPMC, Western Maryland Hospital, Cumberland, MD.
Born August 26, 1933, in Jennings, MD, she was the daughter of the late Loman Charles Wilt and Lulu Belle (Hoover) Wilt Hay. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Luther Coolidge Beachy; a son, Bradley Beachy; a daughter Kathy Riley and five brothers and five sisters.
Betty was a homemaker, who loved tending to her flower gardens and enjoyed crocheting.
She is survived by three sons, Gerald (Sue) Beachy, Kevin (Jeanean) Beachy and Timothy Beachy, all of Grantsville; two daughters, Rebecca (Tom) Hresko, Eldersburg, MD and Tammy Beachy, Grantsville; a brother, Calvin Wilt, Jennings; 10 grandchildren, Jenny, Sean, Gwen, Brad, Anna, Stephanie, Brent, Ashley, Amber and Alayna; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, MD 21536, on Saturday, August 6, 2022, from 1:00-2:00p.m. Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Dave Davis officiating. Interment will be in Grantsville Cemetery, Grantsville.
